Board of Trustees

Our Board of Trustees are entrusted in ensuring the purpose and objectives of ISB are met in being true human.

En Azlan Sharom, Chairman / Trustee

En Azlan Sharom is a graduate of Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Sheffield and began his career through thirteen years in the semiconductor industry at Intel Penang. He then spent three years in the service of the Government of Malaysia including a period at the Ministry of Higher Education, which provided first-hand exposure to matters of national policy and administration, while developing a broad appreciation of work cultures in both private and public sectors.

He has held senior management and leadership positions in organisations relating to education in schools, including as CEO of Sapura Smart School before becoming the inaugural CEO of Yayasan AMIR, leading the development of Malaysia’s Trust Schools Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

His interest in human potential and organisational development was further enhanced while employed at SapuraKencana Petroleum Berhad, a global upstream oil and gas services provider, during which time he also served on the Board of Governors of UNITAR International University.

He was the Director of National Schools (Malaysia) at International Schools Partnership Limited, a British educational organisation that operates schools across six regions worldwide, including Southeast Asia.

Pn Indah Wahyuni Binti Shani, Trustee
En Anas Safwan Bin Matsham, Trustee

Indah was one of the founding members of an organization called MyPEC (Malaysia Practice Enterprise Center) and dedicated 8 years running all aspects of its operations. She was also on the ground teaching students from universities, colleges and technical and vocational learning institutions real-life skills of entrepreneurship. Prior to MyPEC, she was attached to the parent company CBAL Sdn Bhd and was tasked to manage a project awarded by the Ministry of Education to implement CBAL’s patented accounting education software into secondary schools in Malaysia which included training more than 2000 secondary school teachers. Another highlight in her career was to lead the human resource division for the Sari Budi Hotel & Resort Group that operated hotels across Malaysia.

Her involvement in business management as well as the education sector enabled her to connect the flawed narrative of humans as resources to the economy instead of humans as steward and custodian of resources. A graduate of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Indah now holds the responsibility of Trustee at Insan Siddiq Berhad. She is given the opportunity to contribute to the development of the youth, in particular nurturing their potential to be true human. Indah spends her time learning, reading and mothering her 3 young children.

Having graduated from The University Of Melbourne, Australia with a degree in Property & Construction (Hons) in 2010, Anas has since been involved in various fields such as IT, hospitality, training and marketing.

Anas is currently serving with CBAL Solutions Sdn Bhd, a software development company and training provider with products such as accounting software for education, cloud-based accounting software for SMEs, hotel management software as well as entrepreneurship training programs rooted in a ‘learning-by-doing’ simulation pedagogy.

He is also attached with Sari Budi Hotel & Resort Sdn Bhd, a hotel operator and management company under the brand of The Regency Hotels & Resorts and a founding member of an influencer marketing agency The Smacketh Sdn Bhd.
